50th Anniversary Party
On June 11th former and current Choir members were able to celebrate our 50th Anniversary of singing together with afternoon tea at The Oak Room, Acorn Village. We were lucky enough to have in attendance all three conductors of the choir, past and present- David Shearmur, Duncan Archard and Susie Hyman, and also Stephen Smith, our original accompanist, and sometimes conductor.
It was a very happy occasion, with entertainment from choir members, toasts and heartfelt reminiscences from David and Stephen, and two beautiful cakes featuring pictures of the choir were made by Sue Halsey.
